<p>The device has a band-pass filter allowing a set of predefined distinct frequency bands, so as to simultaneously filter a set of frequency multiplexed pulses in an optical signal. A saturable absorbant (20) allows passing signals having an amplitude equal to a predetermined threshold, so as to suppress amplification noise. The absorbant is provided distinct from the filter, where the filter has a low modulation depth. An independent claim is also included for an optical dispersion managed soliton transmission installation comprising an optical pulse regeneration device.</p> |
