The method involves the use of a flow bed to manufacture filters for the tobacco processing industry. The flow bed is arranged upstream of a strand formation device in the filter material transport direction and contains a curved wall that guides the filter materials. The wall is first inclined downwards, changes to the horizontal and finishes upwards looking in the transport direction. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method of manufacturing filters (B) and a filter strand manufacturing device.
