<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate bad printing due to a mistake in measurement of ink viscosity caused by an insufficiency of experience and a human error in regulation of the ink viscosity. <P>SOLUTION: This regulating method of ink viscosity is used for a printing machine equipped with a restricting member 5 which forms an ink fountain part A between an ink roll 4 and it, ink circulation passages 10 and 12 which conduct supply of ink to the ink fountain part A and recovery thereof and an ink tank 8 which communicates with the passages 10 and 12 and functions as a source of supply and recovery of the ink. A device for the method calculates the entire quantity of ink by determining individual quantities of ink being present in the ink fountain part A, the ink circulation passages 10 and 12 and the ink tank 8, measures the value of viscosity of the ink flowing through the ink circulation passages 10 and 12, calculates the proportion of the quantity of an addition liquid necessary for obtaining a target value of viscosity by comparing the measured value of viscosity with an ink viscosity change curve prepared beforehand and obtained for each value of viscosity and supplies the addition liquid in the calculated quantity to the ink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
