PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit for liquid detection that can reduce liquid quantity until detection. SOLUTION: The optical unit comprises a housing 2 which has detecting faces 3a', 3b' at the lower part where liquid are contactable and a liquid receiving face 3d at the upper part where the liquid is droppable, fixing parts 5, 6 projected to the side of the housing 2, and a projecting optical system 7 and a receiving optical system 8 that support in the housing 2 so that a received light quantity varies, corresponding to when the liquid is contacted to the detecting faces 3a', 3b' and when the liquid is not contacted, in which a liquid guiding part 6d guiding the liquid from the detecting faces 3a', 3b' to the liquid receiving face 3d is formed between the housing 2 and the fixing parts 5, 6. |
