The device has a retention unit (40) of a baby (B) to maintain the baby in position while limiting the axial and lateral movements. The unit (40) has fixation units (43, 44) integrating the unit (40) with a bed. The unit (40) has orifices to receive the baby`s legs so that the legs extend across the orifices, where the unit (40) is formed of a single block. The unit (43) is arranged at the level of the orifices and is fixed to the bed.
