The pump, particularly implantable and for infusion, is operated by gas pressure and uses a liquid propellant. The pump chamber (2) is in sections for the propellant and storing a liquid, the former being freed of gas and filled with the liquid propellant. The cushion (13) is inserted in the propellant section (7), which is then sealed off, and evacuation can take place after insertion. There can be a flexible partition between the pump chamber sections (6,7) and the cushion can be inserted between two deep-drawn sheets impermeable to the liquid propellant. The sheets are joined together to form an outer cushion with an evacuation port sealed after air has been extracted. The outer cushion forms a pill-shaped propellant chamber and is inserted in the pump chamber. |
