Compressor torque estimate device

The device has a starting determining unit to determine if a compressor has really started its operation, based on a pressure variation of a refrigeration cycle. A starting phase torque estimating unit estimates the torque of the compressor after the compressor has been started. The estimating unit is provided with a coolant quantity estimating unit to calculate the quantity of a coolant circulating at the initial starting period.
