A method in an internal combustion engine

A method is presented in an internal combustion engine, comprising individually controllable valves, the method comprising adjusting a combustion load at a first ignition at least partly on the basis of at least one interval between two ignitions of the engine. Preferably, the combustion load is adjusted at least partly on the basis of the angular distance of the crankshaft rotation between the first ignition and an immediately preceding ignition of the engine and/or the angular distance of the crankshaft rotation between the first ignition and an immediately subsequent ignition of the engine.
