摘要 A method for obtaining a packed food product stable at room temperature comprises receiving the raw ingredients 1, preparing said ingredients 2 to form the food product and packing 3 the prepared food product into a plastic container, such as a pouch (BL, Fig 2). The container is then hermetically sealed 3 with the product inside and then sent through an autoclave 4 for sterilisation. The packages are then cooled 5 quickly in chlorinated water, before a small proportion of the packages are incubated 6 to check for microorganism growth and ensure the sterility of the packaged product. The packed product is then packed in a secondary packaging 7 which gives details of the packaged product, before storing at room temperature 8. The final product is ready for consumption and does not require cooling or freezing.
