Insulating element (1) has many core elements (2-4) inserted into each other, which are arranged removably or detachably within insulating element and restrict many receiving openings (9-11) with its inner and outer contours with different opening cross sections. Insulating element is block shaped and is made of heat resistant material, e.g. mineral wool formed as prefabricated element. An independent claim is also included for the system for the insulation of chimney pipe.
