摘要 |
A low resistance fuse (10) comprises first (22) and second (24) intermediate insulation layers. A free standing fuse element layer (20) independent of the insulation layers comprises first (32) and second (34) contact pads and a fusible link (30) extending there between. Said first and second insulation layers are disposed on either side of said fuse layer in a laminated construction. At least one of the insulation layers may be provided with a window (40, 42). The fuse element may be a metallized thin foil film. Termination contacts (12) may be provided. Lateral termination contacts may be provided see Figure 12 (Step 6). First and second outer insulation layers (26, 28) may be provided. The insulation may be a polymer, polyamide material. Arc quenching media may be provided proximate the link. The fusible link may be provided with an M-spot (M-effect) (Fig 22 item 328). The fuse may also have weak spots (Fig 26 item 416, 418) provided. |
