Compression cap for dental stumps and method of drying a dental stump

The compression cap has a hollow space for receiving an absorbent foam mass (8) which covers a tooth stump (5). The hollow space has an opening for receiving reagents for foam mass and for receiving the tooth stump. The hollow space is surrounded by the walls whose thickness is reduced in direction towards the opening. A rim (14) forms a seal (16), when the cap is pressed against the interdental papilla (17) of the tooth stump in the region of the gingival pocket (18) for sulcus (19). An independent claim is also included for drying method of tooth stump.
