PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measuring instrument to obtain inter-vehicular distance with few errors. SOLUTION: The distance measuring instrument to measure the distance between two mobile objects is provided with a means 114 to input images, a means 110 to install a marker in a background, a means to extract the mobile object, a means to follow the mobile objects, a means to extract the marker existing between different mobile objects and a means 113 to calculate the distance between the mobile objects on the basis of size of the marker. |
