The mechanism has an external lock (3) including a bolt (4) that penetrates into a housing provided at the upper end of a vertical hollow tube (2) that is integrated to the door. The tube is parallel to the door and extends throughout the height of the door leaf. A movement of the bolt (4) is transmitted to the lower end of the tube by a rod (11) to move a bolt (6), subjected to a return spring (5), in a housing provided in the floor. An independent claim is also included for a door comprising a locking mechanism. |
