THE PRESENT INVENTION CONCERNS A PROCESS FOR THE FABRICATION OF A MEMBRANE FOR ELECTRON-ACOUSTIC TRANSDUCERS, COMPRISING A CORE LAYER MADE OF POLY (METH) ACRYLIMIDE FOAM AND AT LEAST ONE TOP LAYER (4), WHEREBY THE TOP LAYER IS LAMINATED WITH THE CORE LAYER (3) AT A PRESSURE OF≥0.4 MPA AND AT A TEMPERATURE OF≥160°C, WHILE AT LEAST THAT SIDE OF THE CORE LAYER (3) IN CONTACT WITH THE TOP LAYER (4) IS SIMULTANEOUSLY COMPRESSURE IS BOND THUS OBTAINED IS COOLED DOWN TO A TEMPERATURE BELOW 80°C BEFORE THE PRESSURE IS LOWERED TO THAT OF THE SURROUNDINGS.THE PROCESS CAN BE CARRIED OUT AS A ONE-STEP PROCESS. THE MEMBRANES FRABRICATED ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION POSSESS AN EXTRAORDINARY STRENGTH, WHEREBY THE TOP LAYERS (4) IN PARTICULAR POSSESS A VERY HIGH PEELING STABILITY.(FIG.1) |
