The assembly has a light emitting diode (3) arranged and contacting on a printed circuit board (2) having a base made of a synthetic resin and glass fiber. A radiating surface (5) of the light emitting diode is turned towards the printed circuit board, such that a part (6) of the printed circuit board cooperating with the radiating surface is area-wise translucent in a radiating direction of the light emitting diode.
