Method of fatigue characterizing substantially hollow longitudinally extending profiles

The method involves exerting a traction and/or a compression force on the peripheral surfaces of a hollow rangy profile at the end zones (ZE1, ZE2) so as to stress in a variable flexion a central zone (ZT) of a test piece under a constrain or a determined amplitude deformation. The value of the constrain is determined from the force applied at the end zones, where the constrain corresponds to a given minimum number of rupture cycles. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a hollow rangy profile (2) a method for controlling a profile fabrication lot.
