FIELD: metallurgy, namely processes for controlling continuous casting of steel strip on base of client demands. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of writing in computer memory characteristics of steel product ordered by client for automatically transforming them to parameters/variables of process. Computer outputs said parameters/variables directly to casting process of strip for automatic control of process for making product ordered by client. Without interrupting continuous casting process client's order for second product is received. Characteristics of product according to second order are converted to new parameters/variables of casting process. Casting process parameters for making first product are changed by new ones and casting process for making second product is realized. ^ EFFECT: significantly shortened time period between client's request for steel product and its delivery in comparison with usual process for making steel product. ^ 51 cl, 5 dwg, 3 tbl |
