The tarpaulin has an inextensible sheet, and indication or locating units e.g. graduations, arranged on an inner face of one of the four sides of a transport vehicle and on a part of a length of the side. The units indicate or locate, in the length of the side, a surface and/or a volume occupied by a good. The units are arranged on the inner face of the side and on the part by printing such as ink jet and offset printing. An independent claim is also included for a transport vehicle comprising a curtain constituted of a tarpaulin.
