The transmission has a cover fixed in a transmission casing (5) for sealing an opening of the transmission. The cover (60) receives an extra slow demultiplicator device providing an extra slow ratio position. The cover has main ratio shift forks maintained by the cover for engaging and displacing clutch wheels. A secondary ratio shift fork maintained by the cover engages and displaces a secondary ratio sliding mesh (104).
