The cradle has a spacer extending between a carrier shell (11) and a lower shell which are assembled with each other. The spacer defines a housing for installing a screw (5) of a lock collar (4) on one of the shells. The shell (11) has a nut receiving the screw which extends partially in the housing. The nut is distinct from the spacer and is provided such that the locking force transmitted by the screw is applied on the shell (11). An independent claim is also included for a vehicle equipped of a cradle.
