The present invention provides a data structure of multimedia file for easy management of information for representative icons; wherein, a file is stored with a plurality of objects, which compose the multimedia content by specifying the regeneration of each object; and, the representative content specifying information, which specifies at least one object in the plurality of objects as the object representing the multimedia contents. The server device receives the download request for the multimedia content from the external device to determine if the external device can regenerate the multimedia contents. If the determination result is that the external device cannot regenerate the multimedia content, then based on the representative content specifying information to convert the said multimedia content by the external device into the regenerative representative content file and transmit it; on the other hand, if the determination result is that the external device can regenerate the multimedia content, it transmit the file composing the multimedia content. |
