A seal belt device whose production costs can be reduced. A seat belt device has a locking mechanism for locking the draw out of a belt of a seat belt retractor (R), a sensor weight-type acceleration sensor for operating the locking mechanism, an attitude controlling mechanism (F) for controlling the attitude of a sensor weight of the acceleration sensor, an angle measuring mechanism (K) for measuring the pivot angle of a seat back section (S2), and an interlocking member (11) for interlocking the angle measuring mechanism (K) and the attitude controlling mechanism (F). The angle measuring mechanism (K) is a link mechanism having a first detecting member (4), second detecting members (1, 8), a first link member (4), second link members (2, 6), a first rotating pair (41), a second rotating pair (42), a third rotating pair (43), and a fourth rotating pair (44). The interlocking member (11) is rotated according to the pivot angle of the seat back section (S2). When the interlocking member (11) is rotated, the attitude controlling mechanism (F) is controlled such that the sensor weight-type acceleration sensor is held horizontally in a region (A) where a vehicle occupant wears a seal belt, and such that the attitude controlling mechanism (F) is not interlocked with the angle measuring mechanism (K) in regions (B, C) where the occupant wears the seat belt.
