A fluid meter assembly serves for measuring drinking water consumption and hot water supply in apartments, private houses, enterprises and other municipal facilities. The fluid meter comprises a housing, an axis with impeller therein, a driving magnetic clutch, a metering mechanism with a driven magnetic clutch, a cover with a transparent window and a closure element embracing the water meter with a 30-50 mm air gap. The closure element is made as a rigid split unit consisting of two parts with semicircular longitudinal projections for connection with inlet and outlet pipe conduits of the fluid meter, has a shape repeating the housing shape and can be manufactured from polymer plastic or metal. Clamps or bolt connection can be used as fixing elements between the housing and inlet/outlet conduits. The enclosure element has an inspection window arranged above the cover transparent window. The enclosure element arranged on the water meter with air gap provides a reliable protection from influence of outer magnetostatic field. |
