The method involves generating and storing a unique reference number in correspondence to a recipient identifier and a voice message. An invitation message with a voice server address and the generated number is formed. The invitation message is transmitted from the server to a recipient terminal (TD1). Another terminal is connected to the server through the address, if a recipient desires to listen the voice message. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a server for transmitting invitation messages to listen and respond to a voice message of a sender towards a recipient terminal (2) a computer program for transmitting invitation messages to listen and respond to a voice message of a sender towards a recipient terminal.
