PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve whether a newly received mail is a junk mail in the past or not on the basis of information about a mail decided as the junk mail in the past. SOLUTION: A recorded URI or mail address is extracted from a body of the received mail, the extracted URI is accessed, and a different URI is also stored when led to the URI different from the URI recorded in the mail body. A word present in a word database separately possessed to the body is extracted, and a plurality of words are extracted by a predetermined method to generate and store a character string. A symbol, a blank, a blank line, or an overlapping character is deleted, and a plurality of lines or characters are extracted therefrom by a predetermined method to generate and store a character string. A hash value of the stored character string is calculated, the same one is separately retrieved from the information about the junk mail registered in a junk mail database shared with a plurality of other users, and it is confirmed whether the received mail is decided as the junk mail in the past or not.
