<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a magnet, which stably forms a protective film superior in adhesiveness on the magnet, thereby imparts superior heat resistance and corrosion resistance to the magnet, and besides, effectively prevents a copper plating solution to be used in an early stage of plating from deteriorating even when the solution is repeatedly used for plating. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the magnet comprises the steps of: preparing a first plating solution containing at least a copper salt, a phosphate, an aliphatic phosphonate compound and a metallic hydroxide, and a second plating solution which is different from the first plating solution though containing at least a copper salt, a phosphate, an aliphatic phosphonate compound and a metallic hydroxide; forming the first protective film on the surface of the magnet containing a rare earth element through an electrolytic plating process with the use of the first plating solution; and forming the second protective film different from the first protective film, on the surface of the magnet having the first protective film formed thereon, through an electrolytic plating process with the use of the second plating solution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
