PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying apparatus, always horizontally holding a conveying truck and traveling the same in a simple structure using a rope body, and enhancing the degree of freedom in layout of routes to expand the utilization range. SOLUTION: In this conveying apparatus, the spots A, B at least having a difference in level and horizontally spaced at a predetermined distance are connected to each other by a traveling rail 1 having a vertical part 1a and an inclined part 1b, and a conveying truck 3 loadable with a conveying material 2 is provided to travel along the traveling rail 1. The apparatus includes: a traveling driving means 5 for traveling the conveying truck 3 along the traveling rail 1 by the towing operation of the rope body 4 such as a wire rope; and an attitude control means 6 for holding the conveying truck 3 horizontally when the conveying truck 3 is traveled along the traveling rail 1.
