PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely draw out a finger clamped on a back side of a display. SOLUTION: The display unit for the vehicle is provided with the display 2 arranged on a front surface of a body 1; support members 23-25, 50 for inclinably supporting the display 2 relative to the body 1 while moving one end of the display 2 in a longitudinal direction roughly parallel to the body 1; and a display drive actuator 31 for incliningly moving the display 2 through the support members 23-25, 50. The support member has a leaving mechanism 50 for leaving the display 2 from the body 1 at the inclination movement of the display 2 by driving of the display drive actuator 31 when force F of a predetermined value F0 or more for leaving the display 2 from the body 1 is applied to the support part of the display 2.
