FINELY DIVIDED COMPOSITION CONTAINING POORLY WATER SOLUBLE SUBSTANCE

A composition containing a poorly water soluble substance, comprising (i) the poorly water soluble substance and (ii) polyvinyl pyrrolidone or a copolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone and vinyl acetate and having a median diameter of 1 µm or smaller, preferably comprising (i) the poorly water soluble substance, (ii) polyvinyl pyrrolidone or a copolymer of vinyl pyrrolidone and vinyl acetate and (iii) an auxiliary dispersion stabilizer and having a median diameter of 1 µm or smaller. By employing the constitutions described above, a composition comprising a poorly water soluble substance which has been finely divided in a satisfactory level and which is good in absorbability can be achieved. The composition can be prepared into various types of solid preparations suitable for oral administration, such as tablets, powder, granules, capsules or the like. By using the composition, a pharmaceutical preparation can be produced which is in any of various dosage forms and which is good in absorbability of a therapeutic agent even when the therapeutic agent is a poorly water soluble substance.
