A linear drive displacement sensor has a fixed Hall sensor close to a moving magnet (49) in a single sliding bearing with axial (A) and radial (R) support forces comprising a contraction (45, 75) in the inner side of the housing (3). Independent claims are included for a linear drive using the displacement sensor.
