<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of shortening the processing time required for the switching when implementing printing on forms of different printing modes and different printing speeds continuously. <P>SOLUTION: In the switching processing when implementing printing on the forms of different printing modes and different printing speeds continuously by the image forming device of which printing modes and printing speeds are variable, the sequence which is necessary for the control of the switching of the printing modes, and which does not depend on the printing speeds at the time of implementation, and terminates in a shorter time when implemented at a faster printing speed, is implemented by comparing the printing speeds between the preceding form and the current form, and implementing the printing at the relatively higher speed, thereby shortening and speeding up the time required for the switching processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
