<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell-selecting device, capable of decreasing the number of cells set as an object of data reception processing to reduce data throughput and power consumption, while assuring full reception quality. <P>SOLUTION: The cell-selecting device comprises a level difference measuring portion 101, a computer 102, and a cell selector 103. The level difference measuring portion 101 determines a received signal level difference between a received signal level of a main cell and a received signal level of a surrounding cell. The computer 102 predicts a destination cell and determines an offset value, based on the reception timing difference between the main cell and the destination cell; while it determines a received signal level difference, by taking the offset value between the received signal level of the main cell and the received signal level of the surrounding cell into consideration. The cell selector 103 sets a predicted destination cell as a cell for selection/synthesis, when the received signal level difference considering the offset value is lower than the threshold; and it will not set the predicted destination cell as the cell for selection/synthesis, when the received signal level difference taking into consideration the offset value is equal to or exceeds the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
