<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus and an image processing method, capable of easily combining a plurality of life-size images outputted to a film to obtain a long image in the same size, and of indicating the long image as a whole on a display. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises an image compositing means 33 for generating second image data by compositing a plurality of divided images by eliminating overlapped areas, based on first image data showing the plurality of divided images, having the overlapped areas obtained by performing division photographing an identical object; and a divided image generating means for print 38 for generating third image data which is a divided image obtained by dividing the image shown by the second image data, according to the size of a print media without missing, and shows the divided image for printing, in which a transparent part is added to at least one of the adjacent divided images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
