<p>A chamber forms a film gate(26) between the outlet from a feed channel(18) and a tool molding cavity. The chamber has a varying, step-like cross-section whose breadth and/or height and/or length changes. The breadth of the chamber has three steps(28,30,32) of different height and step height decreases from the feed channel outlet towards the tool molding cavity. At least one step, preferably the middle step(30), has sections(34,36,38) of different height along its length(L), the step with lower height being close to the feed channel outlet.</p> |
