<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which operations can be set by calling up an operation history, wherein a desired operation history by an operator can be easily selected by acquiring a current state of the image forming apparatus and narrowing down and displaying the operations relating to the current state from operation histories. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with: a reading means to read authentication information; an authentication processing means to perform authentication processing based on the authentication information; an identifying means to identify an user qualified for requesting to use the image forming apparatus based on the authentication result; a memory means to memorize operation histories by each identified user; a detecting means to detect the operation on the image forming apparatus performed by the identified user; an extracting means to extract operation histories including the detected operation from memorized operation histories; a displaying means to display the extracted operation histories; a selecting means to select an optional operation history from the displayed operation histories; and a setting means to set the setting information of the selected operation history in the image forming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
