<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple, highly accurate and small-sized blood rheology measuring apparatus and a blood rheology measuring method capable of measurement at the part of a wrist or a fingertip or the like without the need of blood pressure measurement. <P>SOLUTION: By using a sensor composed of an ultrasonic transmission/reception element for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves to/from an artery blood flow in vivo from the surface of a living body, the blood flow velocity of the artery to be changed with time, a pulsation displacement amount, an artery diameter, a heart rate (heart rate frequency), and the phase difference of amplitude ratio of the blood flow velocity and the pulsation displacement amount are detected. Computation is performed by using one of the phase difference and the amplitude ratio, the blood vessel diameter and the heart rate frequency, the kinematic viscosity of blood is calculated, and the index value of blood rheology is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
