<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for analyzing deposit in which a causative substance and generation place of defects can be specified without depending to life and death of microorganisms contained in a sample. <P>SOLUTION: DNA of microorganism contained in the sample is extracted and extracted DNA is quantitatively proliferated by a gene amplification method and the amount of microorganism contained in the sample is determined. Thereby, the causative substance and generation place of defect are specified. Real time PCR method, etc., is preferably used as the gene amplification method.
