PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser oscillator allowing the lifetime of its excitation light source to be estimated by using a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A laser oscillator (100, 200, 300) comprises an excitation light source 10; a power source 30 which supplies current to the excitation light source 10; a laser crystal 20 which outputs laser light by using excitation light radiated from the excitation light source 10; a power sensor 40 which receives the laser light generated by the laser crystal 20 and outputs a signal corresponding to the intensity of the laser light; a memory 60 which stores the operating time of the laser oscillator; and a processor 50 which estimates the lifetime of the excitation light source 10 on the basis of the value of the current supplied to the excitation light source 10 by the power source 30, and the operating time stored in the memory 60 when the signal output by the power sensor 40 satisfies a predetermined condition.
