PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation in display quality caused by voltage changes in a data signal. SOLUTION: Among pixels 116 containing electrically serially connected pixel capacitors and switching elements, lines in odd numbers are connected to a first data line 211, while lines in even numbers are connected to a second data line 212. A data signal Xi to be supplied to the first data line and a data signal /Xj to be supplied to the second data line are rendered into a logical inversion relation. A noise appearing on a scan line 311 accompanying the voltage change in the first data signal Xj is erased by a noise appearing accompanying the voltage change in the second data signal /Xj.
