PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of obtaining a high-quality image by preventing faulty separation and the lowering of glossiness within a restricted power range. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a fixing means having a fixing member coming into contact with the side of an unfixed image carried on recording material to fix the unfixed image; a pressure member arranged to be opposed to the fixing member; a fixing member heating source for heating the fixing member; a pressure member heating source for heating the pressure member; and a power control part for controlling at least power inputted in the fixing member heating source, and outputs the recording material carrying the image. The image forming apparatus has at least a 1st image forming mode and a 2nd image forming mode in which productivity is set to be lower than in the 1st image forming mode, and the power control part changes the distribution of supply power to the fixing member heating source and the pressure member heating source according to the image forming mode.
