PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting fitting which can be prevented from wholly swiveling on a hole or a tenon, brought into contact with a main stem member, by a simple method. SOLUTION: This connecting fitting 1 comprises: a front plate 6 which is interposed between the main stem member 2 and the connecting member 3, and which comes into contact with the main stem member 2; a pair of slats 7 which are protruded from both ends of the front plate 6, and which are fitted into a pair of grooves 5 formed on the end surface of the connecting member 3; and one hole 17 which is formed in the front plate 6 so that the bolt 10 can be inserted through the hole 17. A plunge piece 9, which can plunge into the main stem member 2, is formed on the front plate 6. Even in the action of a load which urges the connecting fitting 1 to swivel on the hole 17 or the tenon 8, the connecting fitting 1 can resist the load. Additionally, since the plunge piece 9 can bite into the main stem member 2 in an unassisted manner, predrilling of a prepared hole etc. is made unnecessary, and the slight improvement of the connecting fitting 1 enables adaptation.
