PROCESS FOR PRODUCING UNSATURATED HYDROCARBON COMPOUND

A process for producing an unsaturated hydrocarbon compound, comprising dimerizing an a-olefin in the presence of a catalyst containing a metallocene compound (A) and an oxygenous organometallic compound modified with a halogenous compound (B). This process realizes efficient production of unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds of high concentration with a terminal having an unsaturated double bond, especially a terminal having a vinylidene group.
