In order to extract record tape from a magazine loaded on to a recording and playback apparatus and transfer it to a take-up device, a slide 1 with a catch 2 is provided on the apparatus to engage with a threading mouse 27 on the end of the tape when the magazine 24 is loaded. The slide is movable along a guide 6 in both directions. It is necessary to arrange that the slide returns to the magazine loading point after each operation and this may be achieved by a spring 12, or the slide may be pulled back during the tape rewind operation. The catch 2 may be rigid, as shown, or pivoted (Fig. 2, not shown). |
