Engine revolution speed indicator for motor vehicle, indicates speed relative to maximum revolution speed

The indicator can display a relative revolution speed (Urel1, Urel2, Urel3) of an internal combustion engine. The relative speed is related to a maximum speed (Umax) of the engine. An allowable maximum speed of the engine may be defined depending on at least one current parameter of the engine, and displayed as a relative speed. The relative speed range may be divided into five to twenty sub-ranges.
