A medical image processing device comprises an image extracting unit for extracting a frame image from data on a moving picture of the inside of the body captured by an in-vivo imaging device or data on static images continuously captured and an image analyzing unit for analyzing the extracted frame image and outputting the results of the image analysis. The image analyzing unit has a first biofeature detecting section for detecting a first biofeature, a second biofeature from a frame image temporally before and after the image used for the detection by the first biofeature detecting section according to the results of the detection by the first biofeature detecting section, and a state judging section for judging the state for an organism from the results of the detection by the second biofeature detecting section and outputting the judgment result.
