<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of avoiding interruption of processing of printing due to an error of a paper size by allowing a user to select a paper supply means and an adoption term to which the paper size is adopted after the error of the paper size is detected. <P>SOLUTION: In this printer 20, a paper size registration section 23 receives a command from a printing host 10 for setting a size of a paper sheet loaded on a paper supply tray 28 to analyze it, and then registers it to a memory section 30. A printing controller 21 checks whether or not an error of a paper size occurs by using "output paper sheet size" designated by print data received from a print data generation output section 11. When the error of the paper size occurs, the printing controller 21 outputs to an operation panel 27 a screen for allowing a user to confirm and to select whether or not the paper size is registered and a memory area of the paper size to be registered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
