<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a requisite problem for a cyclic prefix whose length is variable in a mixed mode radio communication system. <P>SOLUTION: A method in a radio communication network infrastructure entity (200) includes a process for transmitting a sequence of a plurality of symbols. One portion of the symbols is related to a first transmission mode, for example a point-to-point transmission mode. Another portion of the symbols is related to a second transmission mode that is different from the first one, for example a point-to-multipoint transmission mode. The method also comprises a process for converting the format of symbols related to the first transmission mode by using a first cyclic prefix before the process for transmitting the symbols, and a process for converting the format of symbols related to the second transmission mode by using a second cyclic prefix.
