<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological discrimination device and a biological discrimination method capable of more precisely discriminating living bodies by analyzing waveforms suitable for pulse wave signals. <P>SOLUTION: In the biological discrimination method, acceleration pulse waves periodically repeating waveforms having a plurality of component waves are obtained from the living body to discriminate the living body. The method includes a biological discrimination step (S13) referring an acceleration pulse wave storing means in which the acceleration pulse waves are registered in advance and discriminating the living body from the amplitude of a first or second component waves within a period of the acceleration pulse wave obtained from the living body, the biological discrimination step further discriminates the living body from the amplitude of one or more of third or later component waves when the living body can not be discriminated from the first or second component waves (S14). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
