<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vein image input device which is reduced in the size comparing to a conventional device and stably acquires highly accurate images in case of a nonconstant scan speed of a finger. <P>SOLUTION: The vein image input device includes a linear solid-state image sensor 1, an illuminating means which emits light transmitting the inside of the finger 3, imaging optics 2 which produces the vein image reflecting a vein network structure inside the finger when the light from the illuminating means transmits the inside of the finger on the sensor 1, and a roller-shaped rotating mechanism 4 which sequentially reads out a plurality of image signals S11 constituting a plurality of partial vein images picked up by the sensor 1 while scanning the finger to output the image signals S11 to a vein image forming part 11 and detects the amount of scanning the finger 3 to output signals S21 of the amount of scanning to a part 11 as a relative positional relationship between a plurality of images used in forming the vein image of the entire finger by joining partial vein images constituted of the plurality of read image signals S11 by the part 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
